Azotobacter chroococcum is a free-living aerobic nitrogen-fixing bacteria that works in the rhizosphere of all non-legume crops. It fixes 20–30 kg atmospheric nitrogen per hectare while also producing vitamins and antifungal compounds that suppress soil-borne pathogens — making it the most versatile biofertilizer for reducing urea costs across all crop types.
