- Drip or soil drench: 2–3 litres per acre in 200 litres of water.
- Seed treatment: 5 ml per litre of water for 30 minutes (Rhizobium: 5–10 ml per litre).

How much nitrogen do they fix?
Azotobacter and Acetobacter fix about 20–30 kg nitrogen per hectare, Azospirillum 20–40 kg, and Rhizobium 100–300 kg in legume crops.
