Areca Special Mother Culture is a concentrated, ready-to-mix powder of Orgogrowth's arecanut consortium. One 1 kg pouch is mixed with water on your farm and gives you enough solution for 2,000 palms. It is light to carry, easy to store, and costs about ₹1.50 per palm per application.

What is inside

• Azospirillum – fixes nitrogen from the air for the palm
• PSB (phosphate solubilising bacteria) – releases locked phosphorus in the soil
• KMB (potash mobilising bacteria) – makes soil potash available to roots
• VAM (mycorrhiza) – extends the root reach for water and nutrients
• High-count concentrate: 10¹⁰ CFU/g on a dextrose carrier

• Improves uptake of N, P and K from the fertiliser and manure you already apply

How much to mix

Rule of thumb: 1 L of solution per palm. Use a clean drum and non-chlorinated water (well, borewell or tank water).

How to apply

1. Clear leaf litter and open a basin of 0.75–1 m around the palm.
2. Make sure the soil is moist (after rain or irrigation).
3. Pour 1 L of the solution evenly in the basin, preferably in the morning or evening.
4. Cover lightly with soil, mulch or FYM to protect the microbes from sun.

Mix fresh on the day you apply.

When to apply

• Post-monsoon (September–November): when the basin is opened for the main fertiliser dose
• Pre-monsoon (April–May): with the first fertiliser dose
• Irrigated gardens can also apply in February

Twice a year is recommended.

Precaution: Do not mix with chemical fungicides, copper sprays or pesticides. Keep a 15-day gap between chemical sprays or drenches and this application.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal the zip pouch after every use. Shelf life: 12 months from manufacture.

A: 2,000 palms. 100 g in 200 L water treats 200 palms at 1 L each, and the pack has ten 100 g portions.

Q: How many acres is that?
A: About 3.5 acres at the common 2.7 × 2.7 m spacing (around 545 palms per acre). With wider spacing it covers more area.

Q: Can I use it with neem cake, FYM or chemical fertiliser?
A: Yes, it works alongside neem cake, FYM, compost and your normal NPK dose. Keep it away from chemical fungicides and pesticides (15-day gap).

A: The drum is a ready-to-use liquid. This is a dry concentrate you mix with water at the farm, so it is easier to transport and store.
